What makes “Pasture Raised” better?

🌱🥩What makes “pasture raised” better?

ITS BETTER FOR THE WELFARE OF THE ANIMALS- animals raised on pasture are typically healthier then those in crowded dirty pens. More space to spread out on clean ground helps to prevent the spread of sickness. Resulting in less need for treatment.

ITS BETTER FOR THE LAND Through holistic management, the soil feeds the grasses, the grasses feed the livestock, and the livestock, in turn return 80% what they eat back on the land, feeding the soil. What an amazing circle of nature. Improving soil health by herd impact is simple not possible in a feedlot system.

ITS BETTER FOR OUR COMMUNITY

For you, for me, for all of us.

Purchasing your meat from a local ranch in your community, keeps the money in the community & lowers our carbon footprint.  Why should we import mediocre meat into our local community from hours away, when we can get a better product next door?

THE BOTTOM LINE

Pasture-raised animals produce nutritionally superior food for people. In addition to the nutritional advantages, there are many animal welfare and environmental benefits associated with pasture-based animal agriculture.

Please consider supporting your local farmers & ranchers who raise their animals humanely on grass and well-managed pastures. Search for pasture raised or grassfed meat “near me” and there’s sure to be some options popping up! There might be someone even closer then you think!
