Brandon's Easter Bun Breakfast Sandwich

Happy Easter!Who here is lucky enough to enjoy Easter buns at Easter? Or Hot cross buns as some call them? I realize not everyone shares the same traditions and quite likely some of you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about. Basically I’m talking about dinner buns with raisins in them and an icing on top. Ask your grandma- she might have an oldie goldie of a recipe for you to try out!If we’re lucky enough to have a few left over from the big Easter dinner- Brandon always makes himself a sandwich for breakfast the next day. Give his recipe a try if you aren’t weirded out by the combination of the sweet icing and eggs! *Start by slicing open a Easter Bun, toasting it or skip that part- your choice.*Next spread some butter on the bun, layer some thick cut Route 304 bacon, a slice of cheese on top, and a sliced, hard boiled, Route 304 egg.*Sprinkle the egg with salt and pepper.*Finally spread the icing on the top of the bun and enjoy!! click here to check out our online store
